Summer School

The theme of the SMC-17 Summer School is “Wave in Time and Space”. The SMC-17 Summer School will take place from July 1st to July 4th at Aalto University's main campus in Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland.

This summer school is suitable for those who are enrolled in a MA/MSc/PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Music Technology. Interested applicants are fascinated by audio signal processing, concert hall acoustics, reverberation, and spatial sound technologies, and want to learn under the guidance of leading experts.

To apply for a place in the summer school, please send your CV and a letter of interest that clearly indicates your motivation and previous experience with audio and music technology research to the e-mail address smc2017@aalto.fi by Monday May 1st, 2017. A maximum of 20 selected participants will be notified by Monday May 15th, 2017.

The cost of attending the summer school, including lectures, lunches, and coffee breaks is 200 €. Students attending both the summer school and the SMC-17 conference can get a special discount (300 €; select the appropriate option during registration; must submit a proof of university student status).
